About Me

Feb 2010 Update:

It’s been a rough past few months, but I’m finally settling into a routine, which I very much need. My heartworms are gone and I’m as healthy as they come. I’m a very special boxer and have had some trauma in my past. For that reason, I need to go to a calm and relaxing home. The perfect setting would be a retired person or couple or someone who works from home and doesn’t leave very often.

I used to get really nervous and anxious when I as left by myself and would start to freak out. As long as there’s a TV or music on, that is helpful for me and I’m good for about two hours. I am working very hard to get better and better about my “left alone” issue.I guess you could call me a velcro dog because I like being with my people. I like to go on walks and play in the backyard but most of all I like to just sit with my person or persons and watch TV or movies. As long as I’m with ya, I’m golden!

Here is a link to a page that shows how hard I have worked at Behavior Camp.   http://www.dog-behavior.net/hercules.html

For the past three months I’ve been at dog behavior camp learning how to be a calm and trusting boxer buddy. My foster Mama is a behaviorist and will help my future folks to understand my needs and how to meet them. She tells me I am a great boy and that my forever family will come along. Until then, I’m going to chill with my foster mama and the other dogs she helps and just keep on getting better and better. Feel free to set up a visit with me! I like everyone and love to get pets and affection.

I am looking for that special human that will keep me feeling safe!  Hope to see you soon!
