Welcome to my blog.  My Uncle Bill told me that the Internet is the way to get the word out that I need a home, so here I am.  To adopt me go to www.flbr.org and complete an adoption application.

I am 4-5 years old and weigh about 65 pounds.  I get along great with other dogs.  I am currently living near Tampa Florida with a lady who helps dogs learn new ways.  Her name is Tanya Sanborn.  Miss Tanya met me when my friends from Florida Boxer Rescue brought me here to get me help.  I have learned so much here and met some great friends.

I am a loving caring boxer.  Many of my friends call me “Herc”.  I love to go for walks in the park, watch movies and generally just hang out.  I do well on a leash and get along great with other dogs.  My friends tell me I am a great guy.

As with many rescue dogs at some point in my past I was treated badly.  I weathered this poor treatment well, with one exception.  I have a hard time when I am away from my human companion.  I have worked hard for months to overcome this issue and have done very well with it.  Miss Tanya has shown me ways to kill time until my human returns to be with me.

I would do best in a home with people who stick close to home.  I understand you will need to go do things now and then.  I am fine with that as long as you return home to me in a couple hours.  Maybe a nice retired couple, or a stay at home mom?

I have waited for a home for a very long time.  Please help me find one soon.  Send anyone interested in adopting me to www.flbr.org and ask them to complete an adoption application.  Make sure they include my name on the application also.
